wow… posting about sports… posting about golf…

but i do want to take the time to comment on tiger woods and more importantly on michelle wie…

they share a lot of similarities, both are teenage phenoms, both are considered so talented that they could change the game…

but tiger did, michelle, not yet…

so what?  you ask…

i like golf, so that’s enough for me to write about this…

i agree with annika sorenstem that michelle wie is a disgrace to women’s golf… after she pulled out of a tournament due to injury only to be practicing on the range a day later…

what michelle lacks, more than a healthy wrist, is determination and drive…

you never heard tiger complain about how something is bothering him… he works through it… he gets hurt, he gets into a family situation, he takes time to resolve it… but the whole while, he knows he’s going to be a golfer, he knows that’s what he’s destined to be and he accepted that fate…. that takes determination and courage…

on the other hand, you have freakin whining michelle wie, who is like so many asian/asian american (yes these are different demographics) youths who are much more talented than the previous generation through better nutrition and better upbringing, but disgraces as human beings

stop whining…

michelle wie is in this stage where she knows she’s good but ‘there are so many other options for me’

no michelle, there aren’t

if you’re not a golfer, you’re not worth anything

be a doctor, be a lawyer, and you’ll be a run of a mill everybody

if that’s ok with you, do it, and get the f out of the limelight

you want to be a star, then golf is, as of right now, the only stage for you

you wanna party like a college kid? you want to have fun and not work on your game? you want to have a ‘normal life’?

well you can’t have a normal life and be a star at the same time

you can’t have a normal life and be the best at what you’re doing

ask tiger, ask annika, ask paris hilton!

go do college go get drunk go do what everybody else is doing, and you’ll be just like everybody else

get it together and understand that golf is your mission and that’s the most important thing going for you and work on it harder than everyone else, then you deserve the media, the respect, the money

and word to your father, dude, get a real agent, get a real manager, you don’t know jack about a sports figure’s career, you only jacking her up… i know who you are… you that over reaching, dominating, can’t stay in the shadow, i wanna be a star too, over protective, thinks you know more than the pros typical dad… dude get a real job

this was the first year in like…. five that i didn’t watch or want to watch the nba finals…. spurs v. cavs, and spurs in 4…

what a boring series…. spurs dominated because of the fundemental greatness of tim duncun and the spirited play of tony parker and manu ginobli carried the day… big deal (if you’re an NBA fan, like you haven’t heard that for the past 2 weeks on TV)

i guess the only good thing about the finals this year is that it got more attention than the nhl finals…. even mlb is looking much more exciting than nba…

the only comment i really want to make is that…. i think it is fitting for lebron james to be called king james… because… like most monarchy of 2007, it is a figurehead position with no power, no support… with the current cast of jesters and clowns, lebron will never win an nba championship… i think he showed everyone that he’s got the goods, that he can develop into a big time dominating player in the detroit series, but unless he gets some dependable help, the spurs will continue in the quietest dynasty that i’ve seen in the nba…

another note, eastern conference’s gonna suck big time next year… i mean, both oden and durant are going to the western conference?? the nba needs to demote the eastern conference into the developmental league man….

they should have slaughtered the nuggets tonight… i mean, denver’s got the worst defense of any playoff team i’ve seen so far… every rotation is slow, all the shots are wide open, i mean, how many wide open shots did finley get?

nuggets did not play a good game… spurs just can’t shoot for jack…

i almost went to cooking school rather than law school

i wanted to (and still do) have a career in music production / entertainment…

i had a very… public school education at a very private institution…. the school they call ‘where fun comes do die’… well, i had kegs and kegs of fun there…

my first and only college dorm was nicknamed ‘the scoreland’… not because of my room, but just because… at least i didn’t live in the dorm abbreviated in bj, not that there’s anything wrong with that dorm… really…

i think i still hold the record for the most shots ordered (per night or ever) at kamia lounge in madison, wi…

i was crazy good at ufo catchers… what’s a ufo catcher? that’s the machine with all them stuffed animals, like outside the cashier’s counters at walmart? 50cents for a try to get a stuffed animal… i used to make allowance on that thing… selling the stuffed animals i get to the parents who just can’t get it for their kids…

yes, i was on the varsity track and field team at the u of c… no, i was horrible at the hammer throw… i think i’m probably the worst in the history of the sport… but i was on the team

check my pictures, yes i used to have long/longer hair… in fact, i really resisted the idea of having short hair until like… the army gig

yes, in law school people thought that i was studying to be a japanese rock star, although i’m not japanese or a rock star… more like taiwanese r&b or hiphop

i still think they need to have a statute of me at my law school… for the most accomplished with the least amount of studying… actually they should have a statute of me at my undergrad for the same reason as well… ok maybe not a statute… maybe just like a plaque or a picture on the wall…

i spent a year between college and law school doing random jobs in chicago… from dj to selling glow sticks to event planning… even moonlighted at a friend’s restaurant kitchen… managed people painting offices (even though i don’t know how to paint)… passed out fliers at events, bartended… etc.

i cooked thanksgivings dinner for like 30+ people like 5 years in a row when i was in the midwest…

most people i know before this career would never guessed in their wildest dreams that i took this job

most people i know during this career would never be able to imagine what i was like before this job

the refs were TOTALLY biased…

today, i will continue my rant on YAO MING, the weakest 7 footer in the nba 5 years running… i don’t get it, he’s freakin 7 feet 6 inches and weaker than rafer altson… i dont care if he gets 25pts a game, how does he, as a 7 feet 6 inches person gets blocked like 8 times per game? that’s just ridiculous…

i know he’s slow, i can understand that he’s slow, but how can he be so WEAK… how does he let boozer score on him at will?  how does he let matt harpring pushes him around in the paint?

yao ming single handedly brought the progression of basketball centers back 20 years with his weakness

but we’re talking about the same thing

when he’s streakin, i don’t care if you got a lane, don’t force a shot, give the rock to kobe…

like this clippers game, kobe could have gone for 60 or 70, but smush freakin parker wanted to play point guard and ‘distribute’ the ball…

the whole team should play like cedric ceballos, and just crash the boards and put up the second chance points when kobe misses

have i had this many friday nights

of sitting home and having nothing to do

no one to go out with

feeling guilty if i go out and stay out late

or having to get a ride to go out

because if i drive out, then i can’t drink

cuz as we all know

drinking and driving is bad

and i ain’t doing any of that

so yeah, while work is great and having family around is great

i have no life

this sucks

now i remember why i left this place in the first place

and never in the 8 years since i’ve been gone

have i wanted to move back here

i miss chicago when i knew the whole city and there’s never a dull night

i even miss madison cuz i knew that i have people to kick it with every night

tough out here… cuz everyone living in southern california don’t ‘need to go out’ cuz they can do it any night, and can’t really make new friends because i only have 1.5 days a week to do anything… and yeah sorry, not likely that i’ll make friends in the great city of barstow either….

i need a change of scenary…
